The January Furniture Show, the UK’s leading furniture and interiors trade event, returned to the NEC Birmingham on 18 – 21 January 2026 with 500+ brands and 50,000 products across four halls.

Challenge

Managing a complex logistics operation

Partnering with one of China’s leading export partners, we coordinated the seamless import of 80 cbm of product – 6,000 kg across 137 expertly crafted pieces – delivered via ocean freight and transported to our Hatfield facilities. The operation demanded meticulous handling: precision unloading, secure storage, labelling and the creation of a detailed multi‑vehicle load plan. This presented a complex logistical challenge requiring exceptional coordination and attention to detail.

Solution

Delivering flawless onsite execution for exhibitors’ success

On 15 January, the six‑tonne consignment was transported from Hatfield to the NEC, where our Global Event Logistics team oversaw all onsite operations. We managed the full unloading and coordinated precise deliveries to 11 exhibition stands across multiple halls, with every piece placed safely and exactly as specified – and with zero damage. During the show, we met with exhibitors to confirm that each item had arrived in perfect condition and exactly as required, providing essential reassurance. The successful delivery further strengthened our partnership with our global delivery agent and paved the way for future collaboration.
